China National Museum
The renovation and expansion project of the National Museum of China was designed by the world-renowned design firm GMP (Germany's GMP Architects). During the intense bidding process, HUAYI stood out among many competitors and became the sole supplier of lighting fixtures for the museum.
Given the unique nature of the museum, the lighting effects and design required meticulous attention to detail. It was crucial to ensure the uniformity of light, its curvature, angles, brightness, color temperature, and both vertical and horizontal light distribution. While covering all aspects of the lighting range, the protection of cultural relics was the priority to avoid any damage to them. As a result, in addition to the lighting range, brightness, and angle, the color temperature of the lighting became especially important. The HUAYI engineering team, with a rigorous work ethic, conducted repeated 3D simulations and scene calculations of all the lighting within the museum, ultimately meeting the museum’s lighting requirements.
In 2009, Huayi won the bid for the first phase of the National Museum project, and in 2010, it won the bid for the second phase.
