Samarkand Touristic Center
The Samarkand Tourism Center in Uzbekistan served as the main venue for the 2022 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit. As an ancient Silk Road city, Samarkand holds historical significance, and its tourism center stands as a modern landmark in Central Asia. Following its success in illuminating the 2018 Qingdao SCO Summit, HUAYI once again delivered an outstanding international lighting project for the SCO Summit, adding brilliance to China-Uzbekistan Belt and Road cooperation.
HUAYI provided a comprehensive indoor and outdoor lighting solution for the Samarkand Tourism Center. The project covered eight international hotels (with a total of 1,185 rooms), an 18,000-square-meter convention center, the "Eternal City"—a replica of Uzbekistan's historic landmarks—and the Samarkand National Rowing Canal, a striking feature of the tourism center.
